My name is Norman and I love coffee. As a matter of fact, you could say I’m “addicted” to coffee. I am passionate about brewing as much as drinking it. I decided to start this blog as a creative means to express my thoughts and curiosity of this beverage that so many of us appreciate. I am not a barista but I do experiment with various methods to make coffee at home. I also like exploring the roots of the coffee beans that we consume in the Western world and the different variations of the drink.
My passion for coffee started when I was in university where I discovered the world of coffee beyond the instant coffee granules. When I had my first well made flat white, I started to really appreciate good coffee. I then began to drink pour over coffee from beans of different origins and appreciate the varying levels of acidity and bitterness as well as the different notes. It was not long after when I began to use different methods of making filter coffee and played around with the variables.
